Let customers speak for us
from 85 reviewsTalked with Eric over a year ago but recently purchased the MD leaf springs and installed them in the driveway. This is the best I’ve had this truck running. The ride quality is unmatched. Previously, the truck had stock springs and an add-a-leaf…it was level before added weight in the back which caused a squat. Now, the archive leaf springs are paired with OME front shocks and springs and rear shocks. The rake is perfectly balanced with headlight’s shining at a perfect angle. Even with added weight the truck handles flawlessly.
Perfect install as always!
The Traveler AAL and AG u-bolt flip kit (option 3 for me) matches up great with Bilstein 6112/5160 to give about a 1.5-2” lift all around. Very pleased with the ride quality on-road and looking forward to future full leaf pack and Hammer Hanger upgrades. Haven’t had a chance yet to test load capacity but I’m sure it’ll handle a small trailer or some weight in the bed better than stock.
Totally bombproof solution to these weak factory hangers. Definitely noticed better ride quality and less frame jitters along with better articulation and strength. Can't say enough good things about the Archive products. Packaging and quality are top notch and made in the USA by people who care. Eric was extremely helpful and willing to talk with me about my particular setup. It's hard to get companies to get that personal with you. Really meant a lot to me.
Looks great, packed perfectly
Perfect fit. Nice companion to all the other goodies! Gives you even more clearance and a piece of mind!
Been running Option 3 on my 2nd gen Tacoma for about a year now. Truly an awesome product, you can feel and see the quality as soon as you open the package. They definitely live up to the hype. For heavy trucks they are light years better than the factory bumps.
The packaging / shipping is also second to none. My local post office can destroy just about anything.. These were packaged well enough to survive the trip!
I had the pleasure of running the original Archive Garage shackle flip kit on my 2004 Tundra Double Cab, I gained about 1" of lift with that kit running stock leaf springs and articulation of the rear end was unmatched at that time, I was able to fly through high speed wash board roads and crawl through bigger obstacles without issues keeping my rear axle planted since I was open diff, then Archive Garage came out with the new design hanger that they currently sell and you are viewing now, I instantly wanted them since it had all the benefits of the OG shackle flip but eliminated some of the sway I had in my rear axle, I scored a set second hand from a guy in my area who was fearful of taking on the install job for his tundra, my factory hangers were already removed so the new set bolted right in and I was able to articulate my rear axle the same as before but could travel through obstacles a little faster now and I felt safe to finally tow my 6000lbs travel trailer using this kit paired with an ICON progressive 3 leaf add on pack, the install is not for the faint of heart but it is pretty easy to do if you have the correct tools, when I did mine I removed my leaf springs completely and supported my rear diff to give me ample room to work, then using a grinder I ground off the heads of the factory rivets holding on the hangers, then I punched out the rivets through the frame and drilled out my mounting holes, clean and paint the frame with a wire wheel and steel-it spray paint, then bolt the new hanger, shackles and leafs in and your all done, took about 8hrs the first time, the hangers are super beefy made of 1/4" steel, nice welds and powder coated, the shackles are the same and there greasable, I cant complain about either set I owned as they both did everything I needed and wanted, I had a full mid travel kit on my tundra with Solo Motorsports lower and upper control arms, ICON coilovers, ICON 2.5s in the rear with there add a leaf and these Archive Garage hangers and shackles, I beat the s#@t out on my truck and it never let my down, AG is also super knowledgeable and I reached out a few times with questions and they always had the correct answers, thanks again for your support.
Archive Hammer Hangers with Archives add a leaf and Bilstein 5160 shock.
Rides great and performs well!
This kit has stood the test of time for me! I’ve been running option 4 for almost 2 years now, and it’s still working like new. Super high quality stuff, quick shipping turn around, and effortless customer support make Archive Garage the only option to consider!
Chiming in with another review of the Archive Hammer Hangers - these are awesome. Our roads are real bad in Louisiana, and I constantly bounced around on all the cracks and potholes, and the chatter drove me nuts.
After installing Hammer Hangers, the ride quality is noticeably better. Now each hard hit isn't also accompanied near as much of the typical shudder/chatter I used to feel. These are a great improvement-- the added lift is a nice bonus too. Holding these up against the stock hangers, it's impressive how much more robust the HHs are compared to the stock hangers.
Eric with Archive Garage is very helpful and attentive to his customers. Certainly recommend these and Archive to anyone else.
I got this kit awhile back from Eric and just got it installed. It was a pretty easy install I also swapped In a tundra axle to give me plenty of room to fit a 2.5x12 shock. Thanks Eric for a superior product.
I installed this in addition with my already existing Hammer hangers and immediately felt the difference. While offroad the rear end felt much more put together, sturdy and rigid. The ride seemed to flow much smoother when articulating and going over obstacles. The placement of the bar is outstanding, the craftsmanship is awesome and it is built to last. This is a much needed addition to anyone with hammer hangers.
These were awesome on my 2nd gen tacoma fit was great and quality finish. Got option 4 with the superbumps great ride to match. First product I‚Äöhave bought definitely not the last!
Was going to write an individual review for all the separate components but Eric has it consolidated here.
Did all of this November of so almost 6 months of experience post upgrade.
I did fox 2.5x12"; piggyback DSCs, cant remember the PN but call Accutune and they will get you squared away.
Have taken this to the Glamis Dunes and local trail crawling, long story short this setup does fantastic. Ride is great even with the MD (not HD) springs, I still haven't tested their capacity so this review is with unloaded ride.
Only con I have is that it did lift the rear noticeably but as Eric advises, this is the only way to get the much needed uptravel for our trucks. If you want to look cool and be level look somewhere else. If you are okay with a 2-3" lift vs. the front then this is the kit for you. Ride is amazing on and off road I continue to be impressed.
Would definitely recommend and do again. Any questions ask Eric to give you my number happy to chat. -Bryan
